A top-tier heavy civil contractor is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to support large, high-traffic urban highway and interchange improvement projects throughout the Los Angeles region. This is a hands-on leadership role supporting major structural and roadway scopes.


Project Work You'll Support
Regional heavy civil programs include:

• Reconfiguration of a major interchange serving port and freight corridors, including new ramps, roadway realignments, seismic improvements and utility systems
• Multi-mile corridor widening involving bridge modifications, retaining walls, drainage systems and electrical infrastructure upgrades
• Final close-out on recent freeway connector and structure replacement work

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering coordination across structural, roadway and utility scopes
• Manage RFIs, submittals, design clarifications and interface with consultants
• Oversee cost tracking, forecasting and pay-application support
• Assist in subcontractor management and field coordination
• Support schedule development, look-ahead planning and sequencing
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance

Qualifications

• 5 years' heavy civil experience, preferably on bridge, interchange or corridor projects
• Bachelor's in engineering or construction management preferred
• Strong field coordination and structural knowledge
• Proficiency with construction software (Bluebeam, P6, Procore)
