As a Project Manager, you will oversee all phases of heavy civil construction projects—ensuring they’re delivered safely, on time, and within budget. This position requires an experienced professional with a strong technical background, leadership presence, and the ability to build lasting client and team relationships.
Projects may include highways, roadway reconstruction, land/site development, utilities, grading, drainage systems, and related infrastructure. The ideal candidate has experience working with municipal agencies or residential developers on large-scale sitework and transportation projects exceeding $5M.

About the Role
As a Project Manager, you will oversee all phases of heavy civil construction projects—ensuring they’re delivered safely, on time, and within budget. This position requires an experienced professional with a strong technical background, leadership presence, and the ability to build lasting client and team relationships.
Projects may include highways, roadway reconstruction, land/site development, utilities, grading, drainage systems, and related infrastructure. The ideal candidate has experience working with municipal agencies or residential developers on large-scale sitework and transportation projects exceeding $5M.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of project planning, scheduling, and financial management
- Review project proposals, budgets, and staffing needs to establish execution plans
- Manage subcontractor awards, purchase orders, and change order negotiations
- Oversee permitting, submittals, and design coordination activities
- Track progress reports, cost forecasting, and performance metrics
- Provide hands-on leadership to project staff and field teams to ensure productivity and accountability
- Resolve technical and operational challenges promptly to maintain project momentum
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and quality objectives
- Direct project close-out activities, including final quantities, documentation, and client acceptance
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years of experience managing heavy civil or transportation construction projects
- Strong understanding of mass excavation, grading, utilities, concrete, paving, and signalization
- Proven leadership skills in coordinating project teams and subcontractors
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to travel to project sites as needed
