Inside Avenue is supporting a leading heavy civil contractor in hiring a Project Engineer for major transportation and bridge programs across the Seattle metropolitan area. This role provides exceptional long-term growth opportunities on complex, multi-year public infrastructure projects.
Project Work You'll Support
Projects in the region include:
- Replacement of aging bridge structures with new seismically resilient spans over key waterways
- Expansion of HOV/transit lanes, bike/pedestrian infrastructure, and a large landscaped freeway lid reconnecting local neighborhoods
- Multi-mile interstate improvements involving road widening, drainage systems, utility relocations, retaining structures and staging/traffic control
Responsibilities
- Coordinate RFIs, submittals, material tracking, and field documentation
- Support cost control, scheduling, procurement and daily reporting
- Assist with utility coordination, traffic control plans, work sequencing and QA/QC inspections
- Work closely with superintendents, field engineers, subcontractors and designers
- Maintain project logs, change-order documentation and as-builts
Qualifications
- 5 years of heavy civil or transportation construction experience
- Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or similar
- Experience with structural or roadway engineering preferred
- Strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills
