The Company: Our client is a leading, financially stable national heavy civil contractor that builds the most technically demanding infrastructure in North America. Consistently ranked in the ENR Top 400, they maintain core expertise in underground construction, marine, hydropower and power transmission, and major water pipelines. As part of a major regional expansion, they are building a local execution team out of Westchester County to command active heavy civil, bridge, and transit sites across the NY Metro area.
The Role: The Project Superintendent will hold tactical authority over complex field operations. This role demands a battle-tested leader capable of managing aggressive site logistics, directing union crews, and optimizing heavy equipment utilization on major civil sites.

Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule and manage all physical construction activities, sequencing, and crew workforce allocations.
- Select and direct engineering staff, equipment, and tools for maximum utilization and quality control.
- Determine and maintain field discipline schedules and localized budgets.
- Enforce rigorous construction safety, environmental compliance, and quality control standards.
- Review and interpret Contract Documents, specifications, and drawings.
- Collaborate closely with the estimating team to develop means and methods for large, complex bids.
- 10+ years of project superintendent experience managing field operations in the New York Metro area.
- Deep on-site expertise across heavy civil infrastructure, specifically bridges, transit, and underground projects.
- Extensive experience supervising multiple foremen and large construction crews.
- Proven administrative competency, including timecard review, cost distribution, and estimating/planning.
- Safety-oriented with 10-hour and 30-hour OSHA certifications preferred.
